i fly a megathron and up until now i have used only damage mods, no tracking. i thought i would try tracking mods in lower slots (mid is out as webifier, mwd and cap rechargers take that). tbh i can't see any difference in accuracy. i have been using 2 damage mods until now, with average damage being fairly high ( i have lvl 4/5 in most skills). should i try more tracking mods? would it require mid tracking mods to really notice the difference? would like peoples thoughts

i'm asking this as i use a mix of guns: 425's, 350's and neutrons. by the time anything gets to neutron distance its out with the webifier. so the question is more trackers or stay with damage? which is going to kill quicker?

the reason for the mid slot rechargers is i use p/diags in low for a number of reasons primarily p/grid. as they give boost to recharge of other systems they are handy so thats why no relays. beyond this i want a low recharge time on cap given mega has problems in this area. my question is given i'm doing pretty good damage and seemingly often enough, am i going to see that much benefit from a tracking mod or 2?

marcus interesting point about webifier. as to mix of guns??? i have tried all neutrons, all 425's and now this mix which enables me to fight from 65 to 2k. i like this versatility so unless there is better reason why not to use .....

having tried the different configurations, mostly with npc, i actually find it works to my advantage. i understand your point with pvp, but again through use of other modules specifically mwd, nosferatu, webifier and drones these alter outcomes in this mix. generally if i need i can sit at 40-60 and effectively kill with 425s and 350s. neutrons as only offence for npc just doesn't work, but are great for those that somehow manage to get close. atm i am unsure with pvp whether with armor tanking other set ups are any more effective. at least this gives me maneuverability while still hitting well.

i can and do actually. given i have 25-60k covered with 350's/425's, coupled with use of mwd i fair fine. if anything gets closer i have neutrons, webifier and drones. any closer i also have s/bomb. it may seem a strange set up, but as i repeat none of the others offer versatility. if we are talking npc 425's have problem if anything (or you let anything) get close. a purely neutron set up is ridiculous, so there is some sense in it. i don't know what your experience of 350's are, but i find there addition instead of 425's suprisingly effective since i started using them.

1 further note: it also depends on damage you are dealing. i regularly hit for 250-350 as a higher average with wrecking shots in the high 600's to 1200. thus my original question about damage vs tracking mods to increase hits. the best advice so far is webifier does this better.
